     The tragedy threw the environ into confusion as students of nearby secondary schools blocked the road and pursued the trailer up to Ogba area, a distance of about two kilometers from the scene of the accident where the driver was caught and the trailer allegedly set ablaze. The rioting students blocked all access roads within Ojodu Abiodun en route Ogba before police brought the situation under control.  Policemen from the Ogba division and those from Grammar School police station fired tear gas canisters to disperse angry students and sympathizers who ensured there was no vehicular movement for some hours after the incident happened around 2pm Tuesday..

    In a brutal case of domestic violence, a woman has been left blind, burn and unable to eat after her husband threw acid on her. The woman  Atsede Nigussiem, 26, had been disfigured after opening her door to estranged partner, Haimanot Kahsai, 29. Kashai allegedly poured a corrosive substance all over Atsede’s face leaving her in agony as her five-year-old son, Hannibal Kahsai, slept inside. She ran into the street screaming for help while Haimanot fled. Two months later Atsede is still in pain, her mouth has been melted together so she cannot talk, she is blind in her left eye and at severe risk of losing the sight in her right eye.     Nollywood star Mike Ezuruonye has recently had a major eye surgery following a strange condition which affected both eyes. We can also report that Mike Ezuruonye’s eye surgery lasted for more than 8 hours. Mike Ezuruonye indicated in a social media post the surgery was done to correct an abnormal growth which affected the pupil of his eyes. The actor said he almost lost his sight as a result of too much exposure to harsh movie production lights over the years.      The girl was harmed badly by her own grandmother A woman has been arrested following a reported case of extreme violence against her very own grandchild. Local reports show that the little girl’s hands were placed in a gas stove by her grandmother until her hands got badly burnt. She was reportedly punished just because she ate some Indomie noodles against her grandmother’s wish. The sad incident happened some days ago in Benin city, Edo state. A well meaning Nigerian who witnessed the incident reported the case to the Edo State Ministry of Women Affairs and the Ministry has stepped in, arrested the grandmother and have taken the child to UBTH for prompt medical care and attention.
